# devices.visadevice:VisaDevice

The VISA device class of matr1x.

Usage

``` python
devices.visadevice:VisaDevice(
    interface,
    cmdpers=None,
    **kwargs,
)
```

Note: Do NOT implement new devices based on this class. Use pymeasure Instrument instead. Pull requests with new devices will not be merged in the future.

The connection is established upon initialization and closed by the `close` method, after which the device can be reinitialized even within the same Python process.

- All other kwargs are passed to the VISA resource connection, e.g. write_termination, read_termination, timeout, query_delay, baud_rate, data_bits, stop_bits, parity, flow_control.
